How did you feel in your dress on your wedding day?

Absolute perfection. I felt like the dress was made just for me! It was comfortable yet nothing like I ever thought I would wear, and it definitely had the wow factor!

What was your partner’s reaction when they first saw you?

So so precious! He cried. Our first look was at the alter and tears started pouring down his face and he put his hand over his mouth when I first walked out! It was so pure & raw and everything a girl could dream of as she walks down the aisle!

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

Honestly, getting ready that day. I loved all the excitement and anticipation, but also having those sweet moments with everyone there getting ready with me. It gives you more time to connect and I will always cherish those memories with my lovely ladies!

What piece of advice would you give brides planning their wedding?

No matter what that day brings, you get to marry your best friend. That is all that matters and what the entire day is about, so don’t let others get under your skin! Just do YOU.

Did you go on a honeymoon?  If yes, where?!

We did a mini-moon due to COVID, so we couldn’t go to our original destination but we got to spend a few relaxing days at the West Baden hotel in French Lick! It was so so beautiful all decorated for Christmas, & it felt so nice to just relax and not have an agenda!

Any other stories or things you’d like to share?

ENJOY THIS PROCESS! Don’t let the little details haunt you or overwhelm yourself. If it gets to be that way, designate some smaller jobs to your party or someone you trust to help you. Also, keep a journal and write down important events! It’ll be fun to look back on how each day went; engagement party, bridal showers, bachelorette parties. Write it down!

How was your experience with Sophia’s?

I couldn’t have dreamed of a better experience! I had the store to myself & my party so it was such a seamless, fun experience. There was no pressure and we all had so much fun and enjoyed our time there while getting spoiled by the staff. They were so beyond helpful and kind and made it the absolute best day.
