I purchased my wedding dress from Sophia’s back in March of 2017, however my wedding wasn’t until October 2018. With that being such a large time gap everyone was worried that I may change my mind about the dress I had purchased but I knew from the day I bought it that it was the only one for me and I was right! It was the absolute perfect dress for my day.
My husband John and I have been friends for 10+ years but didn’t start dating until 2015. We got engaged a year later and then spent two years planning our perfect day! He always told people that he would marry me one day and we finally tied the knot!
We got married at Bald Knob Cross of Peace in Alto Pass, IL (@baldknobcross) and although the day was very windy and hot for October it was beautiful!
We then had our reception at 17th Street Warehouse in Murphysboro, IL.
Our decorator Lindsay who owns Deliciously Ordinary (@deliciouslyordinary) helped make my vision come to life in the most perfect way through decor and floral’s.
Our photographer Merinda who owns A Sweet Focus (@asweetfocus) captured every moment and then some. We are still amazed when we browse through all the wedding photos.
We rented an old house for my girls and I to get ready at but also take a majority of our photos at. It was called the Havisham House in Alto Pass, IL which was only 5 minutes from the ceremony venue!
My experience finding “the dress” was fabulous and i’m so glad that i was able to piece together such a unique combination that i will probably never see anywhere else!
