From meeting online to a fireside proposal, they’re a perfect match.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
“We swiped right on each other, but officially met on April 7th (his birthday!). Its funny to look back on because the day we met – both my son and I weren’t feeling the best, but Troy still took us out for dinner (and paid for his own dinner), and then we watched a movie together.”
HOW HE POPPED THE QUESTION
“Troy asked me to marry him on Veteran’s Day; We were celebrating my birthday with his family, opening gifts and he told me I had another gift outside. We walked outside to the fire pit in the backyard, where of course he told me his feelings about me and asked me to marry him.”
WHERE TWO BECAME ONE
Ashley and Troy said “I Do” on May 18th, 2019 in Westfield, at the gorgeous Woodland Country Club.
CHERISHED MOMENTS
“I had several favorite parts. To begin with, the fact I was able to relax and be by myself for about 45 minutes before our ceremony helped out so much. Secondly, exchange of the rings. I was attempting to slide his ring onto his finger and ended up slipping – almost dropping the ring! I also enjoyed taking our first communion together as husband and wife. Third, taking the moment we had to look out at everyone at our reception; to see everyone there celebrating us and our special day. Fourth, cake exchange. It took my maid of honor and I 20 minutes to get cleaned up! Fifth, dancing. We had a great crew who showed up and got their dancing skills on. They made our reception such a great night!”
TIPS FOR FUTURE COUPLES
“Relax. Stand back with your husband/wife and take in the moment, where everyone is there celebrating you.”
