Heather and Theo had the most moody and dreamy backyard/boho themed wedding on 10/2/2021. The bridesmaids were in mixed colors, with the boys in grey tuxes, and it is a combination that dreams are made of. They make the absolute cutest married couple–and we are so happy for them! Join us in learning a little bit about their wedding day journey, and a few of their favorite moments..

What was your partner’s reaction when they first saw you?

He loved it 🙂 He was honestly expecting me to prank him (think t-Rex costume) so at first he was surprised that I was actually wearing a wedding dress but it was such a special moment for the two of us.

How did you feel in your dress on your wedding day?

Like myself! It was everything I had always pictured and it fit perfectly with the backyard/boho vibe that I wanted for our wedding day! I felt comfortable, confident, and beautiful.

What piece of advice would you give brides planning their wedding?

Take it all in! The whole wedding season, celebrations, and wedding day fly by so fast! Take each moment and truly appreciate it for what it is. It’s beautiful and it’s your day!

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

Everyone being together! Getting to catch up with old friends, celebrating together, being surrounded by your closest friends and family and marrying the love of your life… it was truly amazing.

Did you go on a honeymoon?

Yes! We went to Hawaii (The Big Island). We are an Air Force couple (both active duty) so we were very grateful that we were able to take that time away!

Any other stories or things you’d like to share?

Our wedding ceremony and reception were both totally outside with really no backup/rain plan. Unfortunately we decided to get married in the 4th wettest October in recorded, Indiana history haha and the forecast was not looking good (in fact – really really bad lol). Yet due to nothing short of a miracle and answered prayers, there was a break in the rain from 3pm – 11pm (literally the exact window that we needed for the wedding ceremony/reception/cleanup). It was one of the coolest things we’ve ever experienced and we feel so blessed!
