We love a moody fall wedding, and Erica and Tyler’s is no exception. Although October 2nd, 2021 was a little rainy, it was a beautiful day for a wedding, and didn’t stop them from having one of the most special days of their life. From the flowers, to the colors, to the scenery/venue, everything is so beautiful in these photos! Keep reading for some advice on your own wedding day, and some highlights on theirs!

What was your partner’s reaction when they first saw you?

Tyler had the sweetest smile on his face when he turned around to see me during our first look.

How did you feel in your dress on your wedding day?

I felt like the most confident version of myself.

What piece of advice would you give brides planning their wedding?

Surround yourself with people who love you and want the best for you. My bridesmaids and maid of honor did everything they could the week of my wedding to make me feel loved and supported, and they absolutely succeeded.

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

Our photographer snuck us away down a trail after the ceremony during our cocktail hour, so that we could get photos of just the two of us. We wandered through the woods and had some time to enjoy being married before going back to the crowd.

Did you go on a honeymoon?

Not yet!

Any other stories or things you’d like to share?

I made a lot of our wedding decorations myself, and I didn’t want them to go to waste. I wood-burned our cake topper and table signs, and after our wedding I turned them into ornaments for our Christmas tree so that we can reuse them year after year.

How was your experience with Sophia’s?

Sophia’s Bridal was my favorite store to go to. It was the third store of the day and I was getting really nervous about finding a dress that felt right. It was literally the first dress I tried on at Sophia’s and I knew it was perfect.
