Normally when we do our hair for Prom, it begins with a shower and then followed by a hair dryer. For most of us, it can be very difficult to get our curls to stay in a hold even before we can get out the door! Here are two quick tips to make styling your hair easier this Prom season!

Quick Tip #1: While it May Sound Weird, Don’t Wash Your Hair on the Big Day!

It’s true! Stylists recommend you to wash your hair the night before or even two nights before! The natural oils in your hair allow the styling process to be much easier. When you have freshly washed your hair, those oils have escaped or they have been pushed to the side to make room for the shampoo and conditioner you use. Now, when you go to add those luscious curls to your hair, sculpting will be much easier and they should hold much better than before!

Quick Tip #2: Products, Products, Products!

Most of us drown our hair in hairspray to make the style we desire hold. However, with most hairsprays, it adds an unwanted greasy-looking hardened layer to your curls. Try adding some texture to your hair by using mousse or dry shampoo. Try these products while blow drying your hair to add some extra volume. This will give it enough texture to stick together more efficiently!
