It’s Bachelorette Party Time!!
First, lets take a look at the history of the Bachelorette Party. In the beginning Spartans were believed to have thrown elaborate parties and dinners for their friends. A toast to the groom would take place in celebration of the pending nuptials. If you look ahead to around 1922, the term ‘bachelor party’ arrived. Fast forward to the 1970’s and 1980s, bachelorette parties became more elaborate displays of premarital freedom. Obviously, since then they’ve only become more extravagant and tend to last entire weekends.
When I was married 10 years ago, my girlfriends took me to dinner and go carting. I laugh thinking about that now because the parties that take place today, are nothing in comparison. The Vegas Trip, or Cruise are amazing but not everyone can afford that luxury. This doesn’t mean you can’t have a fantastic party, but it does mean you’ll love our top 5 themes to inspire your DIY party!
