The Wedding Kiss

Maybe the hardest question to answer for your wedding look is what color lipstick you should wear. You are most likely wearing some shade of Ivory so literally any color goes with your dress! We all know too many options can make choosing a heck of a lot more difficult! Here are some tips to choose the perfect lip color for your perfect day!

1.Find out what color lipstick goes with your skin tone.

Fair skin color:     REDS- Choose an orange based red or a coral red to compliment your skin tone the most.

PINKS- Use a light pink because other pinks will seem way to bright or neon.

NUDES- Use a light peachy color so it doesn’t blend right in with your skin tone.

Wedding Makeup

Medium skin color:  REDS- Cranberry or berry reds will look best with your tan skin tone.

PINKS- A typical saturated pink is a good choice so it doesn’t seem too bright or light for your skin.

NUDES- A good mauve color lipstick will look absolutely beautiful.

Dark skin color: REDS- Cool tone reds and brown based reds are a good way to compliment your rich skin color.

PINKS- Berry pinks look delicious with your skin color!

NUDES- A cool based taupe nude will be ravishing.

2. Decide what style you want

If you want to have a classy and upscale look I would definitely recommend the dark reds for your lips. Red is also best for vintage/pinup/rockabilly weddings.

If you are classic traditional bride go for the pinks. This makes you look sweet, demure, and classic.

I think that nude lips go really well with natural/boho brides. Especially if you are a girl who doesn’t really like to wear a lot of makeup. You don’t need to do a full face for your wedding. Go with a comfortable nude so you can feel like your true self.
