HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Despite attending high school together all four years, Valerie didn’t meet Devyn until their senior year, and they began dating during the summer after graduation.

HOW HE POPPED THE QUESTION

“My parents do a sunflower maze in the summer in Illinois. He asked my dad’s permission to design ‘Marry Me?’ in the maze so that you can see it from an aerial view. My uncle took a picture of it with his drone and sent it Devyn. We walked through the sunflower maze together, and he showed me the picture of the maze design that we were walking through. Then he got down on one knee!”

WHERE TWO BECAME ONE

The ceremony was held at Paris Presbyterian Church in Paris, Illinois on February 9th, 2019.
