A post-high school reconnection led to a surprise proposal at dusk on the beach, and eventually a stunning church ceremony followed by a lively celebration.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

“We knew each other in high school. A couple years later we reconnected after seeing each other at IU and started dating not too long after that!”

HOW HE POPPED THE QUESTION

“We were on vacation in Florida. On our last day there we spent the whole day at the beach, and at sunset we went for a walk along the beach. We asked someone to take a picture of us, and he got down on one knee! It was such a surprise!”

WHERE TWO BECAME ONE

Their ceremony took place at the wonderful Northview Church in Fishers, with their reception at the gorgeous River Glen Country Club.

“Honestly the whole day was absolutely perfect. It’s hard to choose just one part! I guess I would have to say the moment the doors opened to the church and I saw Trevor! We didn’t do a first look so it was the first time we saw each other and in that moment…everything was just perfect.”

TIPS FOR FUTURE COUPLES

“Be engaged for at least a year. Ours was a year and a half and I had everything planned in advance. I never felt rushed or stressed out. I was able to enjoy everything. Also, it helps if you have amazing parents/parents-in-law!”
